Breakthrough Austin!

It’s been amazing year full of amazing events with incredible organizations around the world.  One of our favorite projects this year was the 4 days of robotics workshops we created for Breakthrough Austin, in partnership with National Instruments (NI).  With support of an extremely talented group of NI interns, we lead the incoming 9th graders in Breakthrough Austin’s summer program through a series of robotics challenges and adventures. The students designed and built rescue robots to navigate mazes to save trapped pets.  They designed Rube Goldberg machines that incorporated robots to transport water to a nearby village that needed it.  And for the ultimate challenge and faceoff, they designed and battled sumo-bots. Here are a few video clips from the battles!
